Minecraft Seeds for new Adventures

The best Minecraft seeds will give you a chance to spawn in interesting and favorable environments that will help you get started on your adventures. Although Minecraft worlds are endless, you will need to quickly gather resources to survive. This means that you won't be able to travel too far in your first few hours. Having easy access to key materials and structures will help you out. Below are some of our favorite Minecraft seeds for Java Edition 1.19 and Bedrock Edition 1.19, along with important information about how seeds work.

Minecraft Seeds explained

Minecraft Seeds are number codes that link to specific Minecraft worlds. A random seed is generated when you create a new Minecraft world. It links to that particular world only. Although they are more complex than that in reality, it means that you can manually enter a code from another world or a seed from a different world.

To find your Bedrock Edition world seed codes, load your world and open the Settings menu. Next, look under Game Settings for the Seed Code. Only the creator of the Realm can see the seed in Minecraft Realms. Here's how to manually enter a seed in Minecraft Bedrock Edition:

1. Select 'Play' from the main menu. Select 'Create new' and then 'Create a new world'.
3. Scroll down to the box that reads “Seed” under the Game Settings.
4. You can click on the box to manually enter a seed code, or click the arrow to the right to access the exclusive Bedrock Edition list of pre-made plants.

Your Java Edition seed can be found using the /seed> command in the text feed. To manually enter a Minecraft Java Edition seed, you will need to …:

1. Select 'Single player' from the main menu
2. Then select 'Create New World'.
3. Select 'More World Options” to be taken to a menu where it is possible to type in a seed for your world.

There are some important caveats to Minecraft seeds. A “exact copy” is only possible if the seed is used in the same Minecraft edition. This is because structures will generate differently for each world in Bedrock or Java Edition, but terrain and biomes will remain the same.

Let's say, for example, you create a new Bedrock Edition world and it spawns you in a forest Biome. There's a mountain in front of your village with a village. Once you have found the world's seeds, open Minecraft Java Edition on your computer and type the seed when creating new worlds. You will still be in the forest biome when you spawn in. There should still be a mountain ahead of your, but it is unlikely that the village will also exist.

Another important point to remember is that the Minecraft world generation algorithm stops creating the same world when it is updated. This is usually the case with major updates like the Minecraft The Wild update. Even if you use the exact same seed, you will get a completely different world generated after an update. These seeds are compatible with Minecraft 1.19, the most recent version which includes The Wild update.

Best Minecraft Seeds for Bedrock Edition

These Bedrock Edition Minecraft seeds were taken from the pre-made list available for creating new worlds. These seeds are great for starting out, and will allow you to easily reach new biomes. They will work on Minecraft Bedrock Edition as well, but they will probably turn out slightly differently on Java Edition.

Mangrove Swamp

Seed: 8531363911024590720

If you want to check out the Mangrove Swamp biome immediately, you'll need to use this Minecraft seed. The swamp is home to your spawning spot. It's filled with mangrove trees, rivers, mud, and other biomes. Frogs are abundant in this area, so if your goal is to have a croaking friend, you can learn more about Minecraft Frogs. There are two villages to the south and a coastal village to your southeast that should have good resources to keep you nourished.

Deep Dark

Seed: -6778246788154565662

This seed will spawn you just above an ancient city, so you can immediately get into the new Deep Dark biome. You will spawn in a badlands biome, which is located above a large dropstone cave. You will find the ancient city if you go east for 100 blocks (rough coordinates should read x=105, and z=-3) You shouldn't dig directly down, as you will fall through many caves before reaching the y=-50 mark. This is the location of the ancient city. It is difficult to conquer ancient cities so look around the jungle biome to your east and then head southeast to the mountainridge. This ridge is rich in iron and coal, and you might even find a few emeralds.

Jungle Mansion

Seed: 165605352

This seed will allow you to spawn on top of a jungle home's roof. These structures can be difficult to remove once spawned. You'll need decent weapons and armor to defend yourself. But at least you'll know which one is nearby so you can return to it while you build a base elsewhere. The best thing about this mansion? Its prison cells are filled up with the new Minecraft Allay mob. These cute critters can be released and used to help you collect items. You might also find a ruined Nether portal to the east of the mansion, which may have some decent loot.

Desert Village

Seed: 1738801

The first seed will spawn you in a small desert village located within a large sandy desert biome. The area is surrounded by water so you can travel further by boat or head south to find a badlands/mesa ecome for more varied terrain. To find a desert temple, and eventually a Pillager Outpost, head southeast from the village. You'll find a large cave in the ground to the north of the village. This will give you a great chance to find diamonds very early on.

We also tested the seed on Java Edition. We found that the desert temple and village spawned just a little south from the initial spawn point. The cave entrance and the rest of the terrain are still there.

Jagged Peaks

Seed: 297

You will be able to spawn a short seed right in the middle a huge mountain range. You will find yourself at the edge of a ring made of jagged, snow-capped mountain peaks that surrounds a verdant valley. You'll find a cave entrance on the east side of the valley. This allows you to explore the mountains. However, if you're feeling brave enough to climb the peaks you'll discover that they are a great source for iron and coal. You'll find another cave entrance worth exploring if you head west beyond the mountains.

Best Minecraft Seeds for Java Edition

These Java Edition Minecraft seeds will work on any Mac or PC that runs Java Edition. However, they will not work on any Bedrock Edition Minecraft.

Forest Biome mix

Seed: 875674386

This seed spawns in a variety of biomes. Although you'll start in a forest biome, it's surrounded with savannahs and jungles. This will be great for Bedrock Edition players, but it's even better for Java Edition players. There'll be a beach nearby with a buried vesselwreck, a broken Nether portal, and two large Savannah villages to the northeast and west. These places offer great starting gear. Make sure to check them all.

Below is an Ancient City

Seed: 2046946448870621898

This is a great seed to pick if you want to have easy access to a Deep Dark Ancient City. Your spawn point should be directly over an ancient city. This will allow you to dig through the ground and find several caves to land in the Warden's domain. At ground level, you will find a biome of flowery plains near some forests that is a good place to start. You can either head southeast from your spawn point to find a Pillager Outpost or go almost directly south to reach an isolated hillside village.

Massive Lush Cave

Seed: 8486672581758651406

You'll see a dark forest ahead of your spawning using this Minecraft seed. But if you look behind you, you'll see openings in a tall wall that lead to a large Lush Cave. It's still dark despite being lit with Minecraft glowberries. You might be able craft your own torches by mining the nearby jungle mountain ranges of coal. Make sure to bring plenty of torches. You can also wander south to a jungle mansion!

Lava lake cave

Seed: -245875434

This seed will take you to a relatively unremarkable forest and island with taiga. But you will soon notice a waterfall leading down into a cave to your left. Continue down the waterfall to the cave below and continue on through the tunnels. You will eventually reach a large lava lake with many waterfalls, which you can safely descend. This cave is so deep, it places you in prime territory to find Minecraft diamonds. These coordinates (x-y-z) will help you find the valuable stuff.

131, -16, -373
189, -42, -305
150, -54, -325
There are also many things to see above the ground and around the island, including an ocean ruin or a ruined portal. The island is surrounded by large oceans, making it ideal for seafarers.

Savannah and Flower Forest

Seed: 556386363986

This is one of the best Minecraft seeds you can pick for a simple start in a beautiful flower forest. You will start in a large, mountainous flower forest. This is a great spot to harvest Minecraft honeycomb as bees thrive here. You can either head southwest through the flowers to reach a village that will help you get started or you can go northeast to cross into a dry savannah biome, which has a Pillager Outpost as well as a nearby village.
